    Interesting small displacement street bike/scooter

There is nothing more enjoyable than riding a slow bike fast. I’m debating on getting another fun Sunday rider that I can take to get a nice cone on a Sunday or ride the backroads to the beach from town.

The only requirements are the displacement can’t be over 199cc and I’d prefer a manual/semi-manual. I’d love something like an Aprilia rs50/125 or maybe a Honda trail/CT but open to all little bikes. I’d prefer something close to riding conditions with no title issues. No frame up builds

What about an old CB or CL? I've always loved the looks of the 60's CB's.

CB160 is a fine little bike, and that one looks good at a very good price.

May I suggest a Honda SuperCub 125 or Trail 125. In a beach community I have gotten away with free access to parking in bicycle areas with these "motorcycles". I have both and have set up the SC 125 for two up. The Trail I use as a plod along dual sport on trails. It's a bit slower on the road as well. It does have a great big rack to hold stuff so it can be more of a pickup truck of mini motos. The Grom and Monkey have a 5 speed transmission that is better geared for max performance than the 4 speed semi auto transmission of the SCub and Trail.

I saw one of these recently for sale , I just don’t recall where it was listed?
Aprilia RS4 125cc, very common in Europe, they never came to the US market but there are some imports kicking around.

My ns125 is pretty sweet as a backroad bomber. Something like that would be ideal if your not looking at an RD.

i really enjoyed the yamaha xt225 when i had it

-just a simple creamfuff of a bike, felt indestructable
-they didnt change the bike for 10 years, so crazy cheap parts

a clean xt225 with a few bolt ons and some good tires is a fun little indestructible bike

I have a stock Z125 and think it's pretty fun in a crowded city environment. Once the roads open up, it's not really a bike I enjoy being on. Seeing Jim's Grom build has me considering building out the Z but then I get on my WR250R with supermoto wheels and it bridges the gap of small displacement but enough power (+suspension to jump off stuff).

*It's worth noting I can't wheelie the Z very well. The WR is waaay more fun in this regard

there's barely a market for the Z125. Best option is a Grom with a swapped CBR250/300 motor.

pretty sure the ZS190 I put in my K-Pipe will bolt right into the Z125
