Coolant flush and refill with distilled water?

I emptied the coolant out, closed it up, refilled with distilled water. Any downsides to running distilled water? Any benefits? I'm thinking if I crash on the track and leak out distilled water I'm not slicking up the track, but does water wetter or blue ice cool the engine better than distilled water?

Water wetter cools slightly better, as it breaks down the surface tension slightly.

"Most" don't have a problem running straight water.

Make sure you don't leave it in over the winter. It WILL cause a problem or 3.

throw some water wetter in there to lube up the water pump. realistically you should start the bike to circulate, drain, filll with water, and then add wetter. that way no coolant remains. and yes, drain and refill with coolant for winter.

Alu likes distilled water. When I bought alu heads for my car the instructions specificly said use distilled water. Probaly because it has no hard chemicals to attack the alu.

You don't FILL the cooling system with Water Wetter... It's just an addative. I run straight distilled.

distilled water has no minerals in it which will leave deposits on the inside of the cooling system. Those deposits can build up affect the cooling of the engine.

water wetter, as said, when added to the water it breaks the surface tension which is said to help the cooling but more importantly, it helps to lubricate the water pump seals.
