Rode home smoking with coolant all over the engine. Took the fairings off and low and behold theres a pee sized hole in my radiator pissing coolant everywhere. The bike is an 03 1000. Does anyone know if a radiator from an 01-02 will fit? And if so, anyone have something lying around?
Thanks in advance.

Whats the easy fix for this...I know some one knows...The JB weld fix?
An "03 1000"? I have one of those but it's a Yamaha.
Willard's Radiator in Hudson, NH is the place to go to repair that.

It can. Jb weld. Mask off a square in duct tape and apply two thin layers of jb.
If that dont work then
check these guys out.
They fixed mine for less than a new one.

even better than jb is epoxy (like jb) designed for aluminium radiator repair

Here's a nice one...!

Well, not to hijack further, after you get it fixed, why not get one of these? I installed one on the C-14 before the trip up, and trapped in it up there, I found big bugs, couple of dings from rocks, various and sundry chunks of grass, leaves, and it all blew off with the brush of my hand, leaving the radiator unscathed when it would have had fins flattened all over. Those things are really soft, the fins. The grid stands off about a half-inch from the fins. It didn't change the cooling characteristics, either. For a lousy 90 bucks, it was a good find. The one I got was this one, but the pics up close of the two bottom guards show the grid better than the pics of the one I bought from Cox Racing. Hope it helps after ya get fixed!

The branded ones below are a lot more expensive, like $190.00, but are the same mesh and mounting. They come from here:

Thanks for the tips. I work at the Mack engine facility so I brought it downstairs to see if one of the mechanics could fix it. He took it and said he would let me know, otherwise im going to try the JB technique and/or epoxy. Thanks guys.
