    RF600?

Good bike, bad bike? Stay away...run far away?

What do you all think? Anyone have any info on it?

Am posting this q to you guys and two other sites to see what folks think?
Looks like they were only made from '93 to '99 - Reason I ask is 'cause I see some out there in my price range and I like the looks, but am wondering- why did they make this AND the GSX-R600 and the Katana? Seems like they overdid it? Maybe that's why they stopped making them?

    Thanks!

    RF600?

The RF is a solid bike. I have a 900 though, so I can't speak of the 600's power. The chasis and layout is basically the same though. It is a very comfortabe bike for me at 6' tall. Suzuki did a bad job at marketing the bike so a lot of people don't know much about it.

The RF600 has the same motor as the 92-93 GSXR 600, but with a downdraft head which was a first for Suzuki. The RF900 was a replacement for the Katana 1100. The 600 Katana is oil cooled and old technology. I'm sure they just kept making the Katana because it was cheap for them to do. The RF's have solid paint schemes and were geared toward more mature riders. If you like the looks then that's a plus. It's a good all around streetbike. If you have any specific questions let me know.
