I've decided to turn my 2003 R6 into a streetfighter. I'm wondering if anyone who has done something like that before has any suggestions on how to do best do this. Biggest issue I'm having is trying to find parts (headlight/instrument pod replacement kits, lowering kit for handlebars, custom fairings, etc. etc.) If anyone has advice or just general suggestions I'm all ears!
While not specific to an R6 this guy did a decent job on an 05 CBR1000rr and did a review of how his overall design worked out. Thought it might be helpful when picking your parts. Good luck.

My only suggestion is to start learning how to fabricate if you don't already. I had to make most of the brackets for my own frankenbike.

Fightering a bike isn't a 5 minute job to make it pretty, it takes time, effort and research! Customfighters.com is a great resource. Northeast street fighters was owned by my buddy. Not sure if he's still got the company or not, I can ask but I know he has tons of headlights and such kicking around.
FOH cycle fab down in nj can also build any headlight you see on his bikes for you

Let me know if you're taking off good parts like a headlight and bodywork.
