I know a guy who knows a guy with a second cousin on his maternal roomate's side who heard from their godfather's veterinarian that...
I've got a friend that has a 98 Triumph Daytona 955i collecting dust. Burnt yellow, I think pretty much stock, doing nothing but eating storage space. Anyone looking for such a beast? If there's no interest I'm not going to bother helping dredge it into the light for pics, etc. If there is serious interest I'll get more info and do up a proper for sale thread with all the required trappings.
Anyone ever try to wrassle one of these in MWSS or MWSB?![]()
sweet sexy bike... 98 is FI and a pretty reliable motor.

My pal Bob Holmes Sr had run one of those at LRRS several years ago. In fact, he just got around to selling off the race bodywork. He did OK with it, middle-of-the-pack, but he's a big fella and never was the fastest guy out there.
The "Lightning Yellow" is a very nice color, and that's a very reliable bike.

I've got the same bike except the red color. 27k miles and still going strong.
Any idea on the general condition? Showroom, been down, scratched, cracked? I might know someone interested if it's pretty mint. He keeps asking if I'm going to sell mine so who knows.
Off the top of my head it didn't look bad the last time I saw it. It's tucked in a corner and it's been awhile since I've been back there. I'll see about getting back to it, dusting it off and snapping some pics this weekend maybe.
Even if you can give me a general idea about its condition once you get to it. I think the guy I know will want one in pretty nice condition. Where is it located?
It's in Southern Maine like me, I'll get details this weekend.

Ok, so I missed a chance to get pics last weekend, finally got up to look at it today. Bike is in good shape for 42k miles, it's not showroom fresh but it's not beat to crap either. Looking it over I noticed the following flaws:
Taillight is cracked
Chin fairing shows some wear
Slight scratches on the tank
Slight stain/scratch on the front fender
Tank protector is faded/scratched up pretty badly
Left mirror replaced with a bar mounted unit
I got pics of everything I spotted as off/etc.
Lemmie know if this is in good enough condition for your friend GearHD6
Thanks for the pictures.
Do you have a rough idea what he might want to get for it. It's for sure not as nice as mine but if the price was right it might still be a possibility.
Not a clue. I'll see if I can prod him for a price, if I can I'll start a proper FS thread with the details.
IMO, that's a $2500-$2800 bike all day long...at retail. Chances are the owner is having some fantasy about $3500 or more.
