I'm getting ready to purchase some stands for working on my bike, right now I'm torn between getting either Pitbull or Woodcraft.
Looking for opinions on which brand makes the better stand. Cost really isn't an issue, Woodcraft is a little cheaper and I can pick them up since there about 10 miles away.
Thanks KevinB
I like the woodcraft stands... I have the front "Under the Tripple Tree" and I have used the rear.. That is what I would buy

The woodcraft stands are great! I want a set myself but haven't had the cash for those yet.
If ya make it up to the track you can check out all diff. kinds of stands and see what you like.![]()

I like my Handy rear, the fronts a little not great, but 99 for the pair was the deal maker for me........ I'm just talking, hey you going to bike day on aug 3 with me??? Hopefully it ain't raining thrusday
I have no expeirence with Woodcraft but my Pitbulls are AWESOME
I have both pitbull and woodcraft rear. the pitbull gets the nod because of its adjustability. I also have the pitbull fork lift, which lifts from the bottom of the fork legs. In my opinion it is the best for that job. As far as front stands that lift from the below the triple clamp, Woodcraft is very easy to use compared to the pitbull. I also have the pitbull fork lift converter which is decent, but gets in the way when trying to remove the calipers for a tire change.
So,
PitBull rear
Woodcraft front
peace
I pretty sure I will be in VT for that weekend. I haven't been up there since the 4th. I usually like to go up at least twice a month.Originally posted by SEVENSGT

Woodcraft, hands down. The triple clamp lifting front is also adjustable. The rear gives the most lift outta all popular rear stands, and uses the largest diameter wheels for 'em all (front & rear)...
I've used 'em all: LP, Woodcraft, Handy, Suzuki, you name it. Woodcraft's are by far my favorite, and that's what I use when serious work is required on my bikes...
For the record, I have TWO Suzuki rear stands, an LP under fork stand, and a set of Woodcraft (front & rear) stands. The Woodcraft set gets used FAR more than the others...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
you must mean, that's what you use when your cleaning your wheels..Originally posted by Stoneman
