I agree that the pricing is a hard pill to swallow. I like how that motor is available as a crate motor. Many thoughts come to mind on what I'd mate it up with.

It is pricey, although there are plenty of boutique bikes that aren't nearly as good as the MOTUS, that are sold in small numbers for more money than that.

I'd love to put one of the crate motors (which are about $10K IIRC) into a Caterham 7. I bet that would be a kick in the pants.

Now there's an upgrade.

Not that there's anything wrong with the Scrambler.
It's the perfect machine for someone who wants Enough Bike.
The MOTUS is perfect for someone who wants Too Much Bike.
