Sounds interesting.. would love to see some specs. But the front end is HIDEOUS!!!! Although I thought the same thing about the Hayabusa when it first came out.

and then there is something for 2007?

I am sure it's a great bike. Too much for a street bike? Not sure just anybody with the cash/credit should be able to walk off the street and get that kind of power? :dunno:
Meh; hearing "teen" in the name is a turnoff.
how bout "ZX 1.4" then
This bike has amazing potential! Unfortunately it has george forman grill fairings and the lame ass dual pipe setup instead of a single sharper angled one on the right side. Looks almost like a cross between the ZZR1200 and the ZX-12R.
I can't wait to see how it performs though. They say the motor is based on on the 12R which can make over 215 HP at the wheel when it is stroked to 1400cc's. If it is anything like the 12R, I will certainly add one to my stable in the future as it is one of the best bikes available in power, comfort, and handling for us larger individuals. Until then I will just hope and hope and hope that they release a ZX-14R version of it.
P.S. My bike is slow.
If you have to ask, you just don't understand!Quote:

There is a reason why people bore and stroke, turbo, and nitrous their 12Rs and hayabusas. In stock form they just aren't that powerful! :D
True. However, I am 6'4" and my knees hurt just looking at that position. I'll take the busa anyway.:DQuote:

I know this guy right.... He has an '05 ZX10, he hits 189mph quite often, and guess what, it takes less than a mile. :outtie:Quote:

That thing's as ugly as a bag of smashed assholes.:puke
I thought Kawi's only came in green anyway?
The 12R's bore/stroke is 83x55.4 and the new 14 has a bore/stroke of 84x61. 1mm larger bore and 5.6mm increase in stroke should make some monster torque values!
If you think it's ugly, you won't have to look at it for very long as it puts bike length after bike length between you and it. :D
The black and red pictures didn't do much for me but these pictures of the blue one have me excited.

Hey. everyone thought the Busa was hideous when it came out but it kinda grows on you. the 1.4 aint THAT bad looking. and i agree......... the blue looks good.
anyone got some good pictures of the new Busa?
The banana seat on the 14 would look better if...............
.........this was 1992 :puke
lol, no, its just the opposite, bigbore are for those that need something big to replace something small :twofingerQuote:

I agree with that. It would look better with a solo seat and rear cowl.Quote:

And I like the blue best.

It has a solo cowl.
like the VFR
The Busa is supposedly in the developement stages...so you know what that means....(rumors, or truth?) Triumph has (had) a Kaw/Busa Blaster, that never made it to the public.Quote:

The bikes will still be limited to 186 mph, and with a stroke like the 1400 has, it won't be a big revver.....but with more cubes it doesn't have to. The Kawi looks like what a Busa may look like if updated. Talk has the new 2007 Busa's engine modified to pass strict Euro emissions, and of course, more juice between the legs, and a lighter frame....Somewhat looks like some things borrowed from the Gixxer...Time will tell if we have another top speed blaster out there to blow the new BMW into the weeds....
The busa never grew on me, that bike is still awefull looking IMO. Also IMO, the new 1.4 is just as bad looking:pukeQuote:

Thank God for good old fashion
Dual Low Pipes
The Up pipes are for quick rear wheel change so another poser
feature.
Gee you could put bags and/or a passenger on it while not burning your leg
i'm not a huge fan of the side panels but the rest looks good to me. the black looks great:drool: the exhoust look is a little dated but nothing we wouldn't swap out anyways. i'll hold my final judgement till i see one upclose.
i think its funny how some people are thrashing it becouse kawi's not "there" brand. bottom line this thing is going to rip a hole in anything made right now.......in a strait line anyways :D
in other words.. it's not a yamaha. :DQuote:

Don't think we are really questioning it because it's a Kawi. It's more who cares about the top end, you can't use it for anything except poserific highway runs, you won't even need it on the drag strip most likely, and on a road course this bike will get eaten alive by most of the smaller bikes right?Quote:

If it doesn't have good S-T attributes for taller/heavier people then it is mostly going to be a poser product. Especially since this class of bike has some other issues for S-T use such as how fast they eat tires, chains, and sprockets. (I know some people are using the Busa, ZX-12, etc.. for long trips right now but the maintenance must suck)
The whole point of the bike is just excess, let's do it cause it's cool, etc.. and there is nothing wrong with that, it will sell. Kawasaki is smart to make the bike, it is a free market segment for them to take. Suzuki seems to be the only other company that "gets it". Honda and Yamaha are just missing out on $$ by not producing a similar bike.
