Anyone interested in this bike?
I feel like it could make a cool track weapon, anyone going to make bodywork for it?

I've heard it has some reliability issues engine wise?

Should be the same latest-gen 690 that's in the 701 enduro/sm. Bet it'd be a total hoot with sticky tires on, but not sure it has the sales numbers to support much dedicated aftermarket support for track parts. Shame, too...heck of a lot cheaper than a Kramer.

Smutty heard it wasn’t 3 on the tree, therefore ticking time bomb.

Saw one on the road yesterday. I HIGHLY approve.
A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
Wife sat on one and really liked it. Not sure if its worth the extra $3k over the 690 though
Saw one at the husky display at NJ sx. Didn’t do it for me. Wanted to see a 710 super moto but they didn’t have on on display.
Not a Vitipilen, but I've been doing an internship in Milan at Deus Ex Machina for the last few weeks. Spotted this Husky 701 in the student scooter parking lot at the University of Milan:
Nice.

The Vitpilen 701 is now being sold at an $7995 price tag for left overs at Motorsports Nation in Waterford. Quite a decent deal. If I didn't have a 701 Supermoto I would spring for it. I still think it will be like a GB500 15 years from now. Worth more than paid for if the world economy fails to collapse.

Well if you get one then hit me up as I will ride my 701 Supermoto over and swap with you on a ride for a few minutes. You seen this bar conversion kit? DANG!!!!

Sat on both this and the Svartpilen at IMS last weekend. Basically here's where they're at:
Both bikes have the same suspension (fully adjustable WP) and electronics (TC, up-down QS w/ autoblip) and share a bunch of the same bodywork. The Vitapilen has 17" wheels and clip ons which are integral to the top triple clamp. The Svartpilen has 18/16" wheels and bars on risers.
I actually think I'm in on the Vitapilen, Husky just released 2020 pricing for these models and I really can't ignore it, $9,500 for the 2020's and they've been authorized to drop the 2019's to $8k.

Wow $9500 for a 2020. That's good news for those that didn't purchase one at $12K. OUCH!!!! If I didn't have a 701SM I would be picking up an $8k leftover in a heartbeat. Had I known they would have dropped down to such a value price I wouldn't have purchased the 701SM.

About the only thing I have left is finding out if there's a meaningful difference between the 19's and 20's. This is going to be a street/trackday bike for me. I've been heavily set on a 790 Duke but I really think this bike may be able to save me several thousand dollars to get it into the form I'm looking for. Basically my plan for the 790 was this:
Cartridge kit, rear shock, sweet numbers (PK has this dialed via Harlan's bike.) Crash protection, hard parts, upgraded master, calipers, brake lines, spare wheels, belly pan. Looking at about $5k for all that plus $11k purchase price.
On a Vitapilen I can get away with just respringing as it comes with adjustable suspension already. Brakes just need a braided line upgrade, caliper and master are fine. I think I can get in with about $3k in mods for track day purposes, majority of that cost being a second set of wheels. That brings me down to about $12.5k for a 2020 or $11k if the 2019 has the correct bits. That's a big relief vs $16k to do a Duke build.
