Help with suit sizing. Anyone 5'9" 168# 30' inseam? or close to it

Just started looking at suits. We have no place around here that carries them so I could try them on. If someone is close to my size I might be able to get a starting point at least.

When I got my suit I was 5'9" about 170 with a 30" inseam. A* size 46 (American) fit pretty well. It also fit me all the way up to almost 220 (they break in well). Unfortunately for me, I have the aforementioned 30" inseam and correspondingly short arms, so the suit fits well in the chest, but the arms and legs are a bit long. Not unuseable, just a little extra material.

Now I'm confused. If you look at A* sizing chart it appears a 36 or 38 would be the appropriate size judging by total height and waist size primarily. (American size) You sure you're not referring to Euro size? http://www.alpinestars.com/sizechartmtnumber.htm

Very sure. Euro size would be a 56. Trust me. I made the mistake of ordering a 46 euro jacket. I got one arm in. lrrs428 got a suit that was a 48 or 50 euro, no way in hell it was going on. A friend of ours managed to get into it, but he's about 5'5" and 150 or so and he still couldn't zip it.

EDIT: That size chart does not seem right. Obviously, it's coming straight from A*, but I know what size my suit is and it fits.

Thanks for the feedback...that's why I figured I'd check with guys who have them already. I hate ordering stuff then finding out it doesn't fit.

I just looked at my A* suit and it's a 46 American / 56 Euro. I'm 5'-11" and 160 lbs. The suit is a little loose but fits well in length. Give me a call. You can try my suit on tomorrow if we go out riding.

    i dont have a suit,but when i rented one, i was a 40US, 50 Euro....

    I'm5'9, 168lbs with 30 inseam.....33 waist

42 US, 52 Euro is fine too but the rental place had me try the smaller one and when he saw me wear both he said that 40US, 50 EU was my size in a Rev-it...i guess the suit should feel snug..

Haha, yeah I just put a bid in on some A* boots on ebay, and made an offer on selling the dirtbike to one of my buddies tonight. If I can sell the dirtbike I should be good to go.

I had trouble fitting a suit as well. Not all brands run the same size.

If you take a drive to NH stop and see Pat at Seacoast Sport Cycle in Derry. Pat worked with me to show me how a suit should fit. The suit I thought was good fit was not. Pat was able to show me why it didn't fit and worked to get me into proper gear. Well worth a trip.

If you happen to tip over and find yourself sliding along you don't want to be thinking about gear that doesn't fit properly.

When I get a suit, I will get it from Seacoast. Sometimes they have 'em on sale, too.

Good to know. Mabe I'll take a ride down to Derry this week/weekend. It's a bit of a trip but I'd rather have a suit that fits well. Did you happen to see any shift gear there? I'm thinking that's the way I'd like to go.
