    Foremost Insurance

Hey guys, I've had Foremost over the past year since they're the only ones that cover track day incidents. Has anyone ever had to file a claim with them? Not necessarily for a track day mishap, but for a street riding accident?

Incorrect information. Any standard motorcycle policy will cover a track day since it isn't a "timed racing event".
If your agent told you otherwise you need a new agent who knows how to read an auto policy.

    Foremost Insurance

A lot of companies don't cover track days, despite it not being a "timed event". Foremost covers track days and it's in writing on their policies. Id love to know what companies guarantee coverage for them.

Has anyone here filed a claim for a track day crash?

And to answer your original question about claims quality...based on this website I would suggest against having a policy with them or just dont crash at the track and youll be fine.

    Re: Foremost Insurance

Progressive and Allstate have both told me that they do not cover track days, and I even clarified that it's considered "safety school", which didn't make any difference.

My father had to file a claim with them for a fire. It was a very easy and quick from what he said. It was also an off brand bike that wasn't easily repaired.

Online reviews nowadays are pretty much meaningless IMHO. Lets face it, very few post a positive review, so all you ever see are the negative reviews.

I've had foremost for the past 15 years, only 1 claim which went smooth..and no other ins co has been able to come close to their rates in my case...most quotes are double what I am paying.

My Progressive policy is very explicit in excluding anything on a "closed course" and does not exclude "timed" events so I am covered when riding an IBA ride on the street, but nothing at a track

Thanks guys, I didn't think I was crazy, heh. I ended up keeping Foremost on my Brutale, which I'll probably toss around at Loudon this summer.

    Re: Foremost Insurance

It's becoming far more common now that trackdays are everywhere for "closed course" exclusions to be written into policies. 21st century is another one that explicitly INCLUDES trackdays as a covered event. I'm told that state farm does as well but I have not spoken to my agent about this.

    Re: Foremost Insurance

Anyone get a rate hike recently? Either my insurance agent is an idiot or I did something that Foremost didn't like.

Switched to State Farm for better or worse.. Now I need a dedicated track bike...
