I'm trying to sell my bolt on exhaust and I keep getting asked if it will fit a 6R.
Originally, it was sold as a bolt on for a '00-'02 ZX9R.
I had it mounted on my '03 7R and the bolt pattern fit.
Since the 6R and the 9R share some parts people keep asking me if it'll fit the 6R.
I have no friggin idea... I get conflicting answers.... some say yes... some say no.
I think the best way for me to know for sure is to either compare it to a stock 6R exhaust can or to test fit it onto a 6R.
Anyone near me wanna help me out?

I live in Ashland - 25 miles west.
Of course... the wife works right next to Fenway... I could head in to meet her after work some night.
It's a possibility.
Anyone in Metrowest?

Aight, well unfortunately my schedule might not work best for ya... I work mon-fri 3-11pm so I'm guessin you'd probably wanna do it on a weekend & I'll probably be up at NHIS all this coming weekend.
Anyway, lemme know if I can help. I'm free before 2 during the week.

doesnt look like it... take a look at the ficshe non kawasaki.com
Pete... thanks for the offer. If I can't find someone more local, then I'll give you a shout.
Ryan... I looked at the fiche on Ron Ayers and the part numbers are different, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't fit.
From what I was told the part numbers may differ just because a bolt size is a different length.
The fiche on the website for the 00-02 doesn't look like the can I have anyway... it looks more like the '98 can with the 3 bolts that hold it on.
Which looks the same as the end of the Jardine I'm trying to sell.

I have a 2002 ZX-9R and i tried and acropovic from a friends 2005 Zx-6R and it would not fit. Hope that helps
The bolt pattern looks the same as mine. I tried a slip-on and the outside diameter was different. From the picture it looks like the same as mine. I f i can help anymore let me know.
the '05 is a completely different mounting system. It's a true slip-on. The '00 - '02 6r has a bolt-on assemblyOriginally posted by iwannaride

i asked the same ? and Green Hornet said he has both bikes and that they are diff.....b/c i was interested in iwannaride's exhaust in the FS forum..
try PM'ing Green Hornet
Luvdog & I confirmed it today... the exhaust he's selling would NOT fit my '00 zx6r. the bolt patterns will line up, but the stock midpipe will not fit into the muffler unless you trim it off

Yup... when you pull of the stock can off... the mid pipe on the stock header continues past the mounting flange.
The diameter of the mid pipe is larger than the inner diameter of the exhaust.
It's possible that the inner diameter of another manufacturers exhaust may be large enough to fit, but the Jardine that I have won't.
Thanks again Pete for letting me try it.
