    where are the drag strips in CT?

    new up here in ct. stayin near groton. i havent been able to find any 1/8th or 1/4 mile drag strips on the internet. im either retarded or none exist. ill make a ride to RH if there are any there. any help?

    Conn. used to have a dragstrip, I set one of my National Records there.
    The track had been sold to Consumer reports now, and is no longer...Bummer.

    New England Dragway is probably the closest now.

    I'm looking to take a ride to Englishtown sometime within the next month if anyone is down for organizing a ride. I'll have to check the website but I'm pretty sure friday nights are street night. I'm closer to Waterbury so Englishtown is about an hour closer than New England Dragway.

    Maple Grove Raceway near Reading is the best. Is the NHRA coming next weekend? The bikes run there when they come. Camping across the street too.

    Funny thing with that track is that the police would use a radar gun on the return road, to make sure you weren't blasting back to the pits.
    I was towed back, so we didn't have a problem with it.

    Last time I was there racing, was in 1984.

    It's still there, I was down there a while back when my daughter was working on a funny car based in Colchester.
