Yeah, in the check out I applied the code and kept getting a invalid message. :banghead:

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......
i tried it for my friend earlier and it looks like the deal is gone. i was able to get it for $134.99 earlier and thats the lowest.
glad i got one yesterday
when you say time lapse. are you recording the sunset and then playing it back or are you recording it and using the software to play it back at a higher speed?
i had to go out for lunch and when I got home I modified my extra gopro mounts to work with the contour.
haven't had time to play with the actual camera and the video software yet.
Steve, can you post pictures of the mod you did to get it to work with your gopro mounts? What's the universal mount you were talking about in your earlier post? Thanks.
I'm thinking about picking up this egay mount on the cheap: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=p5197.c0.m619

Eddie-
Just a heads up I bought that one before and I was not comfortable with the suction. I did a couple tests and it seemed to come off pretty easily.
My coworker has this for his Contour HD: Amazon.com: Contour Windshield Camera Mount: Electronics
But for the Roam (which I believe has the standard 1/4-20 camera mount thread ) I think that you'd need this: Amazon.com: Panavise 809 Camera Window Suction-Cup Mount: Electronics
Yeah, that next-day shipping was the next best thing to instant gratification. Shame I'm way too cheap to do that on a regular basis.
but if you look at the Contour one, you will see it also has a "U" shaped holder so you can slid the camera in.

The threaded panavise thing scottfromboston posted is almost half the cost.
You should be able to work out a RAM mount setup using this base for less too.
Since we're on the subject, anyone have an opinion on how the RAM suction cup mount [that I've already ordered and is en-route to me as I type] stacks up?
what do you guys think of this U-bolt mount from RAM ...for mounting it on the handlebar. ...anybody had any experience with it?
you can me it like this

***Must had just made the cutoff!!****
I've got plenty of mounts from my thrashed GoPro and some custom ones I made myself....so I'll be palyin' with it. I'd love to get it mounted inside the nose of the fairing with just the lens exposed.
Oh no!!!!!! Have u guys seen this thing??-http://www.kogeto.com/dotspots/
Why did I get an IPhone...damn, my mind is racing now!!! How can I mount my IPhone on the top tree???
not in video mode, no... i set the camera to snap still photos every 10sec at 15fps then just left it for a while. after the sun was down i shut it off, imported the ~400 still JPG shots as a sequence and did a little editing. i use Final Cut Pro to edit, not a fan of the Contour software at all.
didn't have much time but this is what i captured as a test. looking forward to working with it some more...
Clouds - December 2011
:plusone: Nice timelapse.
Pretty cool. what softwae r u using
thanks, guys. i use QuickTime for the initial sequence then edit in Final Cut Pro.
camera was on a tripod pointing out the window. I'll update the clip when I have time for a full capture.
Not necessary for the Roam model as it has the threaded bung. Both are the same panavise base.
The u shape mount may be more trustworthy than the thread mount.
I've fund that ram mounts can vibrate. The panavise arm only has a ball on one end, so my first instinct is that it will be more sturdy.
