I have a cool idea for my $300 craigslist GS500, which I have decided to keep for commuter use. I will be parking in an area that gets a lot of talented RISD foot traffic, so my thought is to do chalkboard paint and leave a box of colored chalk on the bike each day.
Anyone ever tried putting functional chalkboard paint on a bike or car?
I wish I had more to add other than we're gonna be painting half of my daughter's bedroom in chalkboard paint. And Al Gore...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Do you want Dick scribbles? 'Cause that is how you get dick scribbles.
I have homemade board at home.
It works OK, but you really need to wash it to get the chalk off. It's not like a real chalk board at all when it comes to whipe off and start over.
Pete....you need to ride. Badly.

Go sit on your bike and make vroom vroom noises....
GO ahead, we'll wait...
I kind of did that in Worcester once with my car. Parked it and came back to find it all nicely spray painted, no veiny dicks though. Funny thing, I didn't even have to leave any spray paint for the artist.
You will be cursing if you ever have to paint over it. I know this from repainting my daughter's room before she was born. Previous owners went ape shit with a 2' tall border around the entire room. Sanding it down enough to blend with the new layer of paint was not entirely fun. Enjoy!!
