that being said... some of the R1-forum guys called me "the yellow blur" last summer once we hit the twisties... they were riding '04's and an '05 (blue/wht R1's) i think. :drool: lowly cbr600rr did just fine for me that day.

I wasn't getting heated guys, and I have been a member of several forums for a long time now. I was just saying, wow let me get in the door you close it. I am a relatively new rider (2 years) but I've got a good head on my shoulders and don't abuse my bikes, or my abilities.
I hope to learn a lot from you guys and become a much better rider!

The 600 and 750 got a lot of the same improvements, but the 750 got more.
Just so it's clear, The 750 is just a 600 with a bigger motor stuffed into it. Other than the motor, the chassis, brakes, swingarm are all the same. Just look at the specs on suzuki.com, the dimmensions are identical.
The only way Suzuki could keep making the 750 was to appease the bean counters and consolidate the bikes into one production effort. This was true for the last gen 600/750 as well.
Same bike, different motor. :D

Thanks for the responses guys. I do realize that the 750 is the 600 with a different engine. But what I was saying is that for 2006 the 750 got a whole new engine whereas the 600 i belive just got a few upgrades... correct me if Im wrong, but i thought that is what I read.

The dealer I got my R6 from had 5 of each GSXR (600,750,1000) on the floor and who knows how many in the crates, he said he was getting 500 GSXR's total for 06 so there may be a bit of room for a bargain:)Quote:

I think the 750 is more like a 1000 than a 600. Yes it's powerplant was re-designed, I think Road Racing World had a complete article on it.
My 04 goes from "Holy shit" to "Stupid" in 0.0 sec.~ It's the slipper that puts the 06 machine in a different handling class.
There is a login here named GMDboston, Pete, he had an '04 and is upgrading to the '06. I'm sure Pete would know a lot about it.

I think your dealer is full of shit, 500 Suzuki bikes a year is a big dealership, 500 gsxr's a year is crazy.
Give Hillside Motorsports a call in White River Jct. Vt, not sure if they have any 750's yet but its worth a shot.

If it's landair, they do move ALOT of bikes.
He has a plaque posted on his wall for his customers to see, last year he was rated the #1 dealership for selling volume in the USA. To spell it out a bit better, he sold the most Suzuki's of ANY Suzuki dealership in the USA.
