I picked up a 2000 ZX6R... It needs some work and one of the issues is i don't know where the radiator overflow mounts...
I loked in the microfice and the repair manual but I can't figure it out.
Anyone have a clue? Pretty sure it is on the left side of the bike under the fairing but....
Help Please.![]()

Yeah, left side under the plastic. I'll try to get a pic up in a day or two if no one beats me to it.
does it mount to the frame? Maybe I am missing a part or something.

kawasaki kept the 2k zx6r on thier line up because of how popular the model was . they obviously couldnt use the zx moniker anymore because of the "updated" 636 model so they Re-dubbed it the ZZR600. used to own the 2k.. what a great bike that was.

You can also relocate that tank under the gas tank. It fits. If you put frame sliders on, you will have issues having the coolant tank on the side of the bike as it blocks the motor mount hole. You can simply relocate is behind the carbs and run it that way. Always had my streetfighters setup that way.

Depends what brand frame sliders you get but yes the better one's mount where the overflow is in the way.
I don't remember which company's frame sliders come with a new overflow that has a hole in center for the frame slider to go through and mount in the stock location.
