I'm loading a 749 and ex250 on a u-haul open trailer. What size trailer should I get?
a) 5x8
b) 5x9
c) 6x12
Whould the bikes both face forward on the trailer?
A, and yes

Thanks Bill, and congrats on the race weekend!
What kind of bikes? I rented the regular 4x9 motorcycle trailer and my 636, and my buddies GSXR fit side by side with no problem.

I am looking at doing the same thing...where are the tiedown points on the uhaul? do you have to criss cross the front straps through the wheels?
thanks
I'm all set. The U-Haul open trailers have sides, you need their 5' wide trailer for two bikes.
They have tie down loops in each corner, I don't use them, the side rails are stronger. I run the straps from the tripple clamp to the rails, tight enough to compress the front forks.
We used 1 strap to go through each tire in the rear to hold the bikes from moving forward, and we ran criss-crossing straps up front. One strap on each bike that kept them from falling inward, and then one strap shared between the two bikes that kept them from falling outward. Kind of hard to explain without showing a visual.
