I was one of the lucky winners in the naming contest that Klim had for one of their new in the boot pants( The Baja) so they gave me a pair to test out for them.
Klim - Our Products
I just got my new KLIM baja pants, these things exceeded my expectation of quality, the body is cordura and the inner leg in the abrasion area is leather, which will hold up much better than fabric when they come in contact with a hot tail pipe.
The mesh panels front and rear will obviously move a lot of air through.
In the hotter months I end up not riding because my riding pants are too hot, and I don't want to ride unprotected. These pants are just the ticket. The construction is such that I wouldn't hesitate to wear them on the dual sport rides where there is pavement involved. Like any other dirt pant you still need seperate knee pads.
I am 5' 11'' tall normally take a 32/32, I bought the size 34 the leg is a good fit and the waist is adjustable with velcro sinch straps on either side so I can let it in or out if need be.
There are pockets on each thigh which come in handy for liscence and some lunch money or a bandana etc. I wouldn't put anything bulky or hard in the pockets as thay may cause injury in a fall.
I have had a couple different pants that claim to move air through, but nothing like these.
these pants would make a great addition to their new vented helmet for hot weather riding.
I am definately going to get some of their over the boot pants now for the cooler days.

Yeh, these list for $119 which seems to be in line with the other manufactures high end stuff. Obviously extended use will tell the real story but they appear to have the duribility to hold up
