Not that I'm a buyer, but I'll be interested to see this bike's build quality. Will it be up to spec with the rest of the RR line, or will it be a turd like the Xtrainer?
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
XTrainer a turd? ...![]()

I wouldn’t go as far as calling the Xtrainer a turd, it’s a target audiance type bike and sold as “The Play Bike”. In my opinion, it is put together with low quality parts, but the purchase price also reflects that compared to the other somewhat comparable bikes.
I had issues with mine, both engine and electrical. Had the engine issue been properly diagnosed and resolved, I’d probably still have the bike now, and would have spent the money upgrading the low end suspension.

...and - No kick starter! Full e-start all the way! Yea!
Pre tariff pricing?
I need to demo this.

215lbs dry ... i think you could drop some additional weight with a PC shorty, light weight battery, plus some other bits 'n bobs. i bet it feels lighter than it is right out of the box.
Beta 200RR
KTM spec for my '12 200 XC is lighter than that, says 209 lbs w/o fuel.
I just looked and they added e-start a year or two later and maybe it bumped to 219.. So exact same ballpark there.
yeah, with the smaller bikes i'm on the fence with the e-leg, actually. my Husky started so easy there wasn't really a need for a button, nice ~10lb weight savings ... BUT, i am super used to the button now, ZERO energy lost when you get dumb.

what i like about that vid is he doesn't seem to be fanning the clutch a ton. you can def hear the shifts and some fanning but not like a true tiddler. comments on the vid said the trail is too flowy and open, which i agree, but you know that's more exciing sounding than just grunting along.
i hope he does another vid showing the more technical stuff to hear the motor response. he said the trail is tigher and technical but just not shown.

I don't need e-start either.
My point in mentioning is that they've met-not exceeded-circa 2012 era team orange specs... at least in the weight department
A KTM-like engine balance shaft would be nice as well. KTM really set a new standard there - although I have read that older Gas-Gas' had them.
did they put that in the smaller bikes, too?
i see a lot of chatter on the balancer ... never experienced it so not sure what the fuss is about, i assume sewing machine feel ... my 250 vibes a lot at idle although i don't notice it while riding. my buddy's 300 idles smoother than my bike which is odd.
Beta 200RR
It's a single cylinder, you can't balance the crank, you can just target a given RPM for less vibes, and that RPM will be different for the 250 vs 300 based on piston weight.
