    Vermont Castings Resolute Acclaim 0041

Rebuilt in the last two seasons. All new gaskets/cement. New firebricks last season.

Comes with the optional rear and bottom shields for closer clearances, the optional fireplace screen so you can take the door off and use it as a fireplace and some double wall chimney pipe for close clearances.

Heated our 1600 square foot house without an issue during the last 3 winters. Easy on wood, reasonably efficient. Top/front loading. Non-catalytic with secondary burn chamber in the back.

Dogs and cats will put aside their differences because of this stove.

$450 with everything, including a black stove pad AND that ugly tile stove pad I made that it is sitting on.

EDIT: it is a 0041, not a 0028. They never made an 0028, my bad.

that is a nice looking stove! Why are you getting rid of it? if it is around in a couple months, we might be able to jump on it.

With the addition on the horizon, we knew we would need a bigger stove since we were adding 750 square feet of space to the house (and 12 windows). The tax credit last year was the push we needed to get a new Harman TL300. Should be able to heat the whole place no sweat.

Re: Vermont Castings Resolute Acclaim 0028

Fill in some blanks. I need/want a new stove as the one I have is shot, ( Welds/seams cracked, can't burn on it's own for more than 2 hours before I have to reload it. I have tried many set ups to adjust the flew/draft but because of the cracks it doesn't matter what I do, plus the space/hopper area can only hold 3-4 logs 15 " long.

So how long will it burn for if set up right, do you feel comfortable leaving the house when it's burning?

How many and what size wood fits ?

I have been thinking of going with a pellet stove as it's easier and will burn a lot longer without attention.

Re: Vermont Castings Resolute Acclaim 0028

I was burning regularly from 10pm util 7:30am with enough coals left to get it going again pretty quickly. I would burn it while I was at work every heating day for two and a half years.

Gotten a few PM's about this stove. I will not meet anyone or deliver it. I've been screwed over by too many NESR members when it comes to meeting up to buy/sell something. It stays here. Besides, it is 400lbs and is a two man operation to get it into the back of a truck. I can assist with muscle, a furniture dolly and ramps. If you come up and you want to buy it, we'll get it in your truck no problem.

    Info from the manufacturer:

    BTU / HR 40,000 BTUs/hr
Burn Time up to 9 hrs
    Thermal Efficiency 75%
    Emission (Grams/Hr) 3.4 gr
Approx. Heating Area (Sq. Ft.) 1,600
    Design Certified UL / ULC
    Dimensions (Actual) 25.5”W x 27.5”H x 25”D
    Log Size 16"
    Blower N/A

    Funking, humping, bumpin.

I would not bet the farm that oil prices will be low next year, nor will we have as easy a winter as we did this year.....

    Winter is coming fast.

Last I checked, heating oil was $3.70 a gallon delivered.

Want to buy a wood stove that means relatively free heat all winter, or half a tank of oil?

You do the math. Wood stove doesn't need to get purchased every two months

I'll work out a trade with you for some work when you want the help with sheetrocking and mud work! Otherwise I want it. I really want a pellet stove, but can't justify dropping over a grand to get one right now.

I'd be willing to consider this provided you don't suck at it

Seriously though, this could work out well for the both of us.

I'll buy it clay, & if you still want help doing drywall you'll just have to pay me. My schedule is pretty open as you know right now. Maybe this weekend I can make the trek out to nowhere...

You got it Mike. This weekend might work out on Sunday, probably going to be insulating if the electrical inspector signs me off before then. Saturday I may be out riding.

Two trips. Glad today was nice enough for the ride out on the Priller for that damn handle.. Your place is looking great! I am envious of your entire garage/basement workshop area!
