2012 Ducati Hypermotard 796 (803cc) *SOLD*
Another Duc for sale to free up time, space, and money.
One owner (me), I bought the Hyper new from Seacoast Sport Cycle (Derry NH) in 2012. Adult-owned, always serviced on schedule and treated right.
Very fun bike, air-cooled simplicity, last of the air-cooled Hypers. And that stand-out Pierre Terblanche design. L-twin 803cc, air- and oil-cooled, 6-speed.
Currently 26,705 miles (may go up).
Full service (belts replaced, valves adjusted, everything)
@ 7,486 miles by Seacoast Sport Cycle
@ 15,896 miles by Seacoast Sport Cycle
@ 22,558 miles by Eric Colbath clubhousemotorsports.com (Moultonborough NH)
Tires are very good, Dunlop RoadSmart III, good sprockets (-1/+2), DID Gold Chain. I flushed all hydraulic fluids @ 20,686 miles.
New Yuasa AGM battery installed March 30 2021 (the Yuasa original lasted 9 years). Fresh oil and filter last fall, 700 miles ago.
There are some light scrapes on the clutch case, thanks to me and a garage incident that broke the right handguard, a delicate,
costly item that I replaced with Barkbusters and bar end mirrors. There's a light rattle that comes from the cat con, started several years ago,
can't hear it with helmet and ear plugs. Other than that, all good.
What it's got:
California Cycleworks 6.4 gallon tank (you can get used to the 300 mile range)
http://ca-cycleworks.com/products/tanks/hm69-6730
Paddock stand by MOTO MFG -- lifts the whole bike, with both wheels off the ground. (Pics and link below.)
Front Fenda Extenda by Pyramid Plastics
Carbonworld.de rear hugger/chainguard
Shogun frame sliders
T-Rex front axle sliders
Fabbri windscreen (surprisingly effective)
Rizoma LED turn signals rear
EvoTech tail tidy
Ergo2 Throttle Tamer throttle tube
Barkbuster handguards
FIAM Freeway Blaster horn
PIAA Extreme White H4 headlight bulb
Adjustable rear suspension link by Soupy's Performance (I have lowered the rear about an inch)
https://soupysperformance.com/ducati...links-kit.html
Stomp Grip knee grips
…
Title in hand. Owner's manual, tool kit, spare key, and Ducati code card.
Clean bike, everything works, starts instantly, ready to ride.

Thanks, guys. I'll probably go up on the price if/when I post to FB, if it doesn't sell here soon.

good luck on the sale. exactly what i was looking for except for the $$$ aspect![]()
hmmmm......
^^ I feel your pain. I have suspended my search for a smallish dual sport.
And don't believe everything you think.
If you're interested in selling the stand separately, I might be interested...

This is the point where the seller's remorse starts setting in, and I haven't even sold it yet. Once I get the bike cleaned, sorted, everything up to date, all good, needs nothing, etc., then it creeps in. I just like looking at this bike, let alone riding it. I figure it's unlikely to sell here, the get-a-Busa crowd, so I have to decide if I will go to FB with it. Meanwhile, I'll just look at it. Especially the wheels. Think I'll head out the the garage now and gaze upon the wheels.
And don't believe everything you think.
I will look for it on FB and send you multiple " is it available" messages
then offer you a trade for an xbox and sneakers.
Good luck with FB. much better than CL
hmmmm......
This looks freakin sweet and I kinda want it. Unfortunately I don’t really want to spoil my affinity for mediocre bikes.
Trade you a Z125. It’s so small it will definitely help with your “free up space” issue.
Ha! My resolve is weakening after spending quality time with the bike this afternoon. Think I'll keep riding it, mileage will go up in that case. Maybe I can move something else out of the garage ... the IR heater can go to the basement, same with the Sun Joe leaf shredder, bicycle to the porch ... that takes care of space ... . Time? I'm retired, I have lots of time (until I run out of time, of course). Ride the bike, or paint the porch ... hmmm ... . That leaves how to free up money (don't worry about it is my usual answer).
Meanwhile, I saw that NPS had one for $8K, so I raised the price on mine for a while. That's one way to keep from selling it while making up my mind.
But after dithering, I am back to my original price of $6700 including the MOTO MFG paddock-shop stand (paid $440 for it). Going to post on FB soon.
