    2008 XR650L

I've farkled this into a dirt oriented adventure bike. I did the Trans-Lab Highway on this bike, one day covering 500 miles of dirt road. Very comfortable long-distance dirt riding. This is a tall bike, plenty of ground clearance. Handlebars are moved up and forward for a better standing position. 40-50 miles per gallon depending on your wrist, hills and headwinds. Owner maintained according to manual (included with bike). 19,000 or so miles, depending on where I've ridden by the time you show up. Runs excellent. Handles great on dirt, including rocky trails, and surprisingly well on pavement, and particularly fast on tight, bumpy back roads with changing and unknown conditions -- like a lot of New England

Partial Dave's mods in the carb, de-smogged, done by the first owner.
Unifilter, otherwise stock including exhaust, dyno run showed good carburetion, so I did not drill the slide.
A vanpelt999 oil cooler/heat sink (channeled billet aluminum block mounted flush to the skid plate for heat transference and dissipation without risk of rock damage),
    XR's Only temperature gauge dipstick,
260 mile range, 5.8 gallon Acerbis dual petcock tank, there's no going back to the stock tank,
    1.5 inch Rox risers,
    Pro-taper CR high-bend handlebars,
    Motion-pro +3 inch clutch cable,
    Barkbuster Storm hand guards,
    Madstat fully adjustable windscreen (wonderful!),
    Turbo City windscreen mount,
Galfer braided steel front brake line,
    Honda brake pads,
    Cigar Mike's centerstand,
    Moose Racing skid plate,
15/45 gearing, sprockets/chain good for more miles,
MEFO Explorer 50/50 tires, fresh rear, front still has plenty of tread after 7000 miles, new front included,
    Rim locks front and rear,
    Corbin seat,
    Universal saddlebag racks,
Heavy duty Manrack rear rack (included, not mounted due to conflict with Corbin seat-- rack needs to be spread to fit around seat),
New Yuasa battery (Trans-Lab killed the Odessey),
Registered, plated, title is in my filing cabinet.

I need a little more speed on the pavement and more comfort for super-long rides, so I'm moving on to the Tiger 800xc.

    $3,500 obo
