1997 Suzuki Katana GSX600F
20609 Miles
The good:
New tires and chain about two years ago, barely ridden since then
Passed inspection two years ago, inspection sticker expired 5/31/10
Included is a Haynes manual
The bad:
Needs new battery
Oil drain leaks, will need to be retapped
Needs carb work: Bike does not idle at proper RPM, will idle at around 2000 rpm but factory spec should be 1200 rpm where it will sputter down to about 500 rpm
The bike is located in Amherst, I am selling it for my brother. I have the title in hand. He is asking $1500 obo. Feel free to ask me any questions, I put more miles on this than my brother did and did all the maintenance for it.

Good luck with the sale.
If you want to help it sell a little easier than just clean the carbs. Its easy to do if you follow Carbs 101 on KatRiders.com. The pilot jets are clogged, that is why it won't idle, a relatively easy fix.
I cleaned the pilot jets about 3 or 4 years ago, it did not fix the problem. I think I need to drill out the A/F brass plugs and adjust that. It's my brother's bike though so I'm not terribly motivated to work on it.

Sounds like it needs a good carb sync.

This would probably be a good cheap starter for someone. Probably only needs a couple doses of Seafoam to get her runnin' right. I'd totally pull the trigger on this If I didn't already have two bikes that need some TLC. I'll ask around. GLWS!
I see a Grand National
in the corner
Friend: man riding this really hurts my balls
Me: Well you're not supposed to sit on your balls!
Yes you do. You can have it for free! If you buy the bike for 10k :p

Bump. Oil leak fixed and new battery purchased. This is a ready to ride on the street. Carb work is recommended but not necessary.

A buyer put down a $500 on it today so it's pretty much sold.
