ISO Gravel/endurance road bike LG near Boston

Looking for a simple/Budget commuter road bike / Gravel bike to ride from Waltham to Bedford and weekend rides after sitting down for a living. Im new to road biking and don’t want to break the bank. Budget is around $500 to give myself a taste before investing more capital.

I’d love a used drop bar disc gravel bike I could mount a rack onto but open to a simple endurance road bike. I don’t want anything aggressive in posture. The frame size would have to be a 58 (I’m 6’). Im not afraid of bikes needing a tune etc.

I’d also be interested in a hybrid disc bike for the right price and convert to a drop bar.

I’m in Waltham but willing to drive for a deal etc.

Frame size should have been a good indication

Nah - ever since I started riding motorcycles, pedaling bicycles always seems like way too much effort to go way too slow.

Besides, who wants to arrive to work all tired and sweaty? BRAAAAAAP

When you're ready - they just announced a new alluminum Crux: https://www.specialized.com/us/en/cr...368205-4221802

I took a peak through facebook for you. $500 is gonna be tough. Best I could find.

Ebike. And once you're in shape riding slow is easy. Plus cycling opens up new areas for riding that aren't accessible on a motorcycle. And... Health benefits!

    Commute is about 9.5 miles.

I scooped a flatbar gravel bike for 200 and throwing some inner bar end adapters and get some velosamba’s with the extra cash.

I may upgrade as I get deeper into the sport but I need to offload the 890 advR and TM before spending more on toys.

I normally commute on the FJ but as the other Christian said, it’s for health and fitness. Plus I want some nice calves.

I have a Domane gravel and really want a stump jumper. Don't really want to get rid of the Domane but I'm always open to ideas that get me to where I wanna be. Size might not be right, I'll have to check. I'm 5'11" and lie so...
